ACMS: Reading Class Mission Statement:
“To give students consistent, frequent opportunities to read and interact with a variety of genres, and to develop or sustain a love of reading.”
Grading:
This class is Pass/Fail. In order to pass, students must:
- Come with a book and read that book
- Journal (kept in class)
- Share out both verbally and written
- Participate in class activities and discussion
- Be actively trying to achieve their Accelerated Reader Goal

Monday: Advisory, no reading
Tuesday: Student driven lesson
Wednesday: Sustained Silent Reading; Student-Teacher Conferencing
Thursday: Social-Emotional Lesson
Friday: "Reading Minute", Socratic Seminar, Debates
